It's Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday

Poor Kings. The weekend's excitement has left him tired and depressed. Gone are the days of constant attention and interaction. Having already pulled the stuffing out of his old-time favorite Dalmatian buddy, Kingsley has no option but to sleep by the door, 
waiting for his Mama to take a break and get some air. 

Brandon's Coming!

Growing Up and... Growling!

 

Well, this photo takes a little explaining. A few seconds before it was taken, Kingsley was enjoying a peaceful nap. But all of a sudden, we heard shouting in the alley below. Woken up by the noise, Kingsley sat up and growled!! Growled!!! This is the least "growly" dog in the world. Guess he woke up on the wrong side of the bed!

Kingsley was loving this stick at the dog park today! Usually I'll take sticks away so he doesn't CSTU (chew, swallow, and throw up) but this one was both too cute and too big 

for him to do that much damage.

He's a Babichka in a Babushka! Can you tell we're bored? Kingsley was not a big fan though. Once he had his treat, the bandanna was off in a flash.

 We're back. Kingsley and I are both feeling better, and are ready to resume posting. You might notice, he's also sporting a new do. While I wanted to chop even more off, his Pops requested that I leave Kingsley's mustache alone. Oooh boy.

For a moment there I thought Kingsley was going to keep me company on the bed. Instead, the poor buddy rolled on his back and almost rolled off. I guess he scared himself, because afterward he crawled under the bed.

Sick Days Ahead

Kinglsey and I both apologize for not posting yesterday, but 2/3rds of the household are feeling under the weather (Kingsley and his Mama). Having come down with some mutated strand of the flu on Monday (despite getting the flu shot in November), I've posted up in bed bemoaning my sickness and looming workload. Meanwhile, Kingsley had some stomach issues this morning as well, though we're hoping they are from overeating last night. But in all honesty, I think he just got jealous of all the attention I got yesterday.

This might just be the cutest thing ever. I mean, it's cute enough when Kingsley rests his head on an actual pillow... but on his crab buddy!?! Adorbs.

Out for a Walk

With the dog park wet from yesterday's rain, Kingsley and I decided to take a brisk walk around the neighborhood. And as the bright sun shone behind us, our silhouettes commanded attention away from ourselves.

Not One, Not Two, But Three Report Cards

Well folks, we're back! We picked up the buddy on our way back from the metro and were greeted with enthusiasm and energy. Now, however, it appears that the weekend of all-day-play has caught up with him--he's passed out next to us on the couch. And while we wish that they had a streaming webcam, these report cards paint the picture of a fun-filled weekend. Oh, and the Polaroid was taped to his cubby where they kept his backpack (of food). I wonder if they remarked over his willingness to sit for a picture :).
