Unlike other dogs, Kings always seems to be especially lethargic in the morning. I've got to wonder, does he ever sleep during the night? Also, here's a question to other dog owners out there... Do your dogs rest their heads on pillows too? It always cracks me up when I've found that he has specifically sought out a pillow.
While our favorite, lovable Wheaten has grown increasingly snuggly in his old(er) age, this picture proves that he still has it in him. If only he were a little more nimble, that squirrel could have been his!
While nearing his 3rd Birthday, Kingsley's recent encounter with a pumpkin may have been his first! Unfortunately he quickly began chewing on the stem so the pumpkin was soon moved out of reach.
It wouldn't be a trip to the country without a close-up encounter with wildlife. This time Kingsley had to conquer his fears and look squarely into the face of a deer head. Scary stuff for the little buddy!!
Kingsley was super helpful today as his Mama folded the laundry. And while his paws are, realistically, not the cleanest things on earth, how could anyone get upset at this picture perfect moment!
One of Kingsley's funnier traits is that he likes to get in some good playtime just before bedtime. The moment we get into bed, Kingsley's right there with us but with a bone or toy in his mouth and ready to play. And while it's generally cute for about ten minutes, we end up having to take it away because of all the shaking and gnawing noises. Here he is loving his toy from last night.
Having just seen a neighborhood black cat, Kingsley's dog instincts kick-in and he stands alert. One must question though, would he become a fearless predator or does he just want to be friends? My vote is on the latter!
With some newfound time on my hands, I've dusted off the sewing machine and have started some "home decor" projects. Looks like Kingsley approves of the new pillows!
Having recently moved into a larger abode, sometimes I lose track of where the buddy is in the house. It doesn't take long, however, to find him resting under the dining room table. This Wheatie is one tired pup!
