Snuggle Time!

There's nothing that Kings loves more than a good snuggle. And when his parents can't deliver, he takes care of business on his own!

Poor Alfred

This past Christmas Kingsley was lucky enough to make a new friend: Alfred the Alligator. Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time before Alfred met his fate. Poor Alfred-not only was all his good stuffing taken from him, but then he was discarded for a bone.

Disaster Strikes!

Well, this is the last time I buy an Ikea picture frame! The frame fell out of nowhere while Kings was eating his dinner! The poor buddy was scared stiff and it smashed his food bowl (the same one that survived a hockey puck shot.) Alas this time the damage is too great to fix.

FORTS!!

One of my favorite things to do as a child was watch my baby home videos. A little strange? Probably. Sentimental? For sure. Well, one of
these home videos features incredible forts that my older and more
experienced-fort building cousins built with my father.

Epsom Salt Bath Soak

What's a dog gotta do with irritated paws? An Epsom Salt bath soak, according to my local vet and countless others in the blogosphere. For about 6 months now Kingsley has been licking his paws, generally the moment we turn off the lights to go to sleep. Not only is this not good for him, but it's terribly loud and annoying. As a result, his fur around his paws turned red, as often happens with Wheatens. (It's their form of a bruise). I tried giving him a regimen
of baby Benadryl at night but I wouldn't always remember.
So anyway, at our most recent vet appointment, the vet recommended an Epsom Salt bath soak. So, beginning yesterday, Kings and I have embarked on a 15 minute soak in the tub with about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Epsom Salts. In fact, the bath is ongoing as I type this sitting on the (closed) toilet seat. While there are no signs of relief yet, we're only starting on day 2. One
word of warning though for others who might try the soak, Epsom Salt's can be
used as a laxative so don't let your dog drink the water!

Fun (And Dirty) Times at the Dog Park

Kings and I just got back from a fun romp at the dog park, and he has the dirty paws
to show for it! Unfortunately the fun quickly came to an end when
I picked him up and plopped him into the bathtub!

Sweet Potato Surprise

As he was sitting under us while we were eating dinner, Kingsley had a surprise piece of sweet potato fall on his head! The silly guy had no idea it was there.

Hanging out at the dog park

Kings is thrilled because today we visited his favorite spot in the whole world- our old neighborhood dog park. Unfortunately there were no other dogs to be found but Kings still managed to have fun.

Kingsley's sitting proudly among his Mama's homemade handiwork. Always ready for a good nap on the couch, Kingsley will certainly get a lot out of the new blue pillows!
